Welcome

Welcome to the Knights of Columbus Council #7909 Website. We are a group of Roman Catholic men dedicated to the service of God through activities that support those in need. We look to help those most in need in our society; including the unborn, the elderly, the mentally challenged, and family members of those Knights who have gone before us. Members of the Knights of Columbus, or Brother Knights as we address ourselves, are dedicated to Charity, Fraternity, and Unity in the service of God. We believe that the talents given to us by our Lord are to be shared, and as such we use those talents to help others. If you are a Catholic Gentleman in good standing with the Holy See, we encourage you to become involved as a member of our fraternal order. Vivat Jesus!

Message from the Grand Knight - Dennis Meehan

Please join me in welcoming Bob Davis as our new Grand Knight for our Prince of Peace Council, effective July 1. As my GK time draws to a close, I would like to thank everyone who has assisted the Council and me this fraternal year. With the help of the Officers, Directors, and Trustees, and the entire membership, we did a lot of good deeds this past year. Our Council has also qualified again for the prestigious Star Council Award – a big “THANKS” to everyone who helped bring in new members to help us meet this goal.

Be sure to stay active (or get active!) this summer – always plenty to do to help God’s children. We will have a 1st Degree on August 14, so ask someone to join our ranks!

Again, thanks for a great year, and thanks for your support. I look forward to continuing to help our Council into the future. Have a fun and safe summer!

About the Knights

The Knights was formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.
The history of the Order shows how the foresight of Father Michael J. McGivney, whose cause for sainthood is being investigated by the Vatican, brought about what has become the world's foremost Catholic fraternal benefit society. The Order has helped families obtain economic security and stability through its life insurance, annuity and long-term care programs, and has contributed time and energy worldwide to service in communities.
